Thousands of Sofia residents joined the sixth edition of the LIVE ACTIVELY! initiative of NESTLÉ Bulgaria, organized in partnership with Sofia Municipality. For the sixth year in a row, the campaign has been promoting healthy lifestyles, sports and balanced diets and encouraging people of all ages to join the different sports activities, do exercise and have fun.
Zbigniew Walkiewicz, Executive Officer of NESTLÉ Bulgaria; Sofia Mayor, Yordanka Fandakova; Lyubomir Hristov, Deputy Mayor of Sofia “Transport and Transport Communications”; Evtim Evtimov, Mayor of Triaditsa Region; and some of the most popular sports stars (Neshka Robeva, Yordanka Blagoeva, Yordan Yovtchev, Simona Peycheva, Evgeni “Pushkata” Ivanov, Tereza Marinova, Titi Papazov, Evgeniya Radanova, Armen Nazaryan, Boyko Mladenov, Asen Velikov, Dimitar Angelov, Yordan Bozov, Simeon Naydenov, Svetlozar Ivanov, Kristina Rangelova and many others) led the fans of active lifestyle on a procession from the National Palace of Culture to the South Park.

This year at the initiative of Sofia Municipality, a bicycle tour was held from Sofia Theatre. Cyclists, led by Simona Peycheva, Tereza Marinova and Petar Dikov, Chief Architect of Sofia Municipality, arrived at the pylons of the NPC and joined in the LIVE ACTIVELY! 2011 initiative.

The ceremony for the official opening of LIVE ACTIVELY! concluded with the inauguration of the new sports playground at the South Park, built at the initiative of NESTLÉ Bulgaria and dedicated to LIVE ACTIVELY!.

At 12 different stages at the park, there were various sports activities and fun competitions and games, such as: a volleyball tournament with Evgeni Ivanov and Svetlozar Ivanov; parkour and street acrobatics with the world champion Delyan Dimitrov and the boys from Freerun Bulgaria; lessons and demonstrations in zumba; Cuban and Latin dances with Neshka Robeva’s dance company; acrobatic rock’n’roll; tournaments in table tennis, football, mini-football, hip-hop, volleyball, three-legged race, pet contests and so on.

The more inventive and challenging activities included: a cooking contest, a freestyle singing contest; as well as competitions for signing dogs and dancing babies, while Galia and Kristo, Lora Karadjova and Skiller, Busto and Irina Florin saw to the good mood of all participants by performing a grandiose concert at the Summer Stage at the South Park. At the end of the healthy day, six lucky participants won three bicycles and three iPods, while one of the cyclists, who took part in the bicycle tour, won a special bike from Maxbike store.

Each year, big Bulgarian celebrities join the march and show people how to exercise and learn skills in football, volleyball, basketball and fitness.
