Try to avoid icy cold feet. Our bodies react against cooling by narrowing the blood vessels as a way oif making sure that no additional heat is lost. But narrower blood vessels mean poorer circulation - also in the mouth and nasal cavity. The mucus membranes stop working as effectively, and they become an optimal base for viruses. Our tip - take a warm bath, or even an 'increasing' foot bath - start off with warm water and add hotter water over 20 minutes until you begin to sweat.
